We are so excited to announce Sarah Hekmat as the Winter 2025 member of the quarter. Sarah has demonstrated excellent spirit, hard work, and all the qualities it takes to be an AMSA member, accumulating an impressive total of 16 volunteer hours this quarter. Her dedication is truly one of a kind!

Sarah is a First-Year Biology major here at UCR. In her free time, she loves trying new food spots with friends, going to the beach, and of course, volunteering in her community. She also loves spending time outdoors, going on walks, and just relaxing in the sun.
Sarah joined AMSAto connect with other pre-health students and gain some insight into the world of medicine. She was also looking for a space where she could grow professionally while finding a sense of community, and AMSA has given her exactly that!
When asked about her favorite part of AMSA this quarter, she shared that it was working with the Communications Committee. Attending general meetings, volunteering, or simply tabling together, she's loved the whole experience and truly valued the time spent with them as a team.Building those connections, both within and outside of AMSA, made her feel more engaged and connected to the organization as a whole.
