We are thrilled to present our First AMSA member recognition of the 2025-2026 school year to Matthew Gutierrez. Since joining AMSA in the Fall Quarter, Matthew has demonstrated a ton of spirit and brought about a vibe that showcases true AMSA qualities. His dedication really caught our eye!

Matthew is a first year and he majors in cell, molecular, developmental biology. In his free time, he loves working out, playing pickleball, video games, listening to music, and collecting pokemon cards.

Matthew joined AMSA because it was a great chance to explore different medical opportunities. It was also a way to meet other students who have the same aspirations in joining the healthcare field, just like he did.

When asked about his favorite part about AMSA, he commented that he loved volunteering at the blue tents. He's also a big fan of the fun Socials we host from time to time.

In his future at AMSA, he looks forward to having more opportunities to meet guest speakers at General Meetings who specialize in different healthcare fields.
