Room 8 Cat Shelter Volunteering Event

This week, our members spent a fulfilling day at the Room 8 Cat Shelter, a nonprofit rescue dedicated to caring for abandoned, stray, and surrendered cats. The event gave us a chance to give back while surrounded by some very adorable (and sassy) feline friends.

Volunteers helped with a range of tasks including feeding, cleaning, socializing with the cats, and helping the shelter staff with their daily care routines. It was a hands-on experience that gave us a deeper appreciation for the work that goes into running an animal rescue and how important this support is for both the animals and the community.

Beyond the chores, the most rewarding part was spending time with the cats, many of whom came from difficult backgrounds but are now safe, cared for, and waiting to be adopted into loving homes. Getting to play with them, help them feel more comfortable around people, and see their personalities shine made the experience unforgettable.
