Flying Sams x HEMS x AMSA Competitive Workshop Recap

This past week, Flying Sams, HEMS, and AMSA teamed up for an exciting and hands-on competitive workshop that gave students a real taste of clinical skills in action! From taking blood pressure to performing CPR, attendees rotated through different stations where they learned and practiced essential techniques used in healthcare settings.

Each station was run by knowledgeable volunteers who broke down the skills step-by-step, making it easy to follow—even for beginners. Some of the highlights included using stethoscopes to measure vitals, running through CPR scenarios, and learning how to handle emergency situations under pressure.

To make things even more fun, the event had a competitive twist—teams went head-to-head to see who could perform the skills the fastest and most accurately. It was the perfect mix of learning, teamwork, and just the right amount of chaos.
