This week, AMSA hosted an engaging and educational CPR Workshop in collaboration with @ucrhealthyhearts, providing our members with hands-on training in life-saving skills. UCR Healthy Hearts organized multiple interactive stations, each focused on teaching a different aspect of CPR. Members rotated through these stations, receiving expert guidance on performing chest compressions and rescue breathing techniques. The training featured realistic dummies with built-in sensors to provide immediate feedback, ensuring members were applying the correct pressure and technique needed for effective CPR.
It was an invaluable opportunity for everyone to practice life-saving skills under the guidance of knowledgeable mentors from UCR Healthy Hearts. Members learned not only the technical aspects of CPR but also gained confidence in their ability to respond in emergency situations. This workshop embodied our club’s mission to prepare students for real-world healthcare scenarios while building a supportive learning community.
And don’t forget to join us at our T-Swirl Fundraiser next Wednesday, October 23rd, at University Village! Mention AMSA at checkout, and a portion of your purchase will go back to support our organization’s future events and educational opportunities.
A big thank you to @ucrhealthyhearts for their incredible support and commitment to spreading awareness about cardiovascular health. We look forward to more impactful events together and can’t wait to see everyone at T-Swirl next week!
