The first general meeting was a great start to the 2016 winter quarter for AMSA! The meeting vital facts about picking an undergrad major, general course requirements, GPA calculations, MCAT scores, letters of recommendation, extracurricular activities, and when the best time to apply is, which were all very interesting and beneficial to learn about.

Aside from the free food, games, and prizes, we also had representatives from several pre-health organizations such as COPE CCV, FIHS, Josh & Friends, Pre-Dental Club, Mini Medical School, Project RISHI, Feel Good, and many more! In addition, dentistry students and UCR medical students were with us answering questions from the attendees!!

Kingsley Elementary School wanted to re-do its playground for its students, and AMSA volunteers knew how to help. A team of volunteers gathered one weekend morning, and worked together to prepare a great surprise for the students that returned the following Monday.
